Formed in Jakarta in 2020, Groovebox Story brings the colors of disco, funk, and pop inspired by the 80s and 90s, with a fresh, modern touch.

The name Groovebox Story comes from the Roland Groovebox, an iconic electronic instrument that has been central to their creative process. Though built on vintage technology, its character remains the foundation that gives Groovebox Story's music its identity: groovy, warm, and inviting for anyone to move.

Since their debut, Groovebox Story has performed on all kinds of stages, from livestreams, clubs, and restaurants to festivals, schools, and a wide range of corporate and community events. From parties and reunions to school shows and exhibitions, they're known for bringing high-energy atmospheres and connecting with audiences across generations.

Off stage, Groovebox Story stays active through releases and collaborations with a number of Indonesian musicians, including Melly Manuhutu, Mus Mujiono, Yana Julio, Shelomita, Tiwi, and several others.
